Fanny Martin has served as Chief Ethics Officer at the World Intellectual Property Organization since August 2024. With over two decades of experience in international law, acquired across a range of United Nations entities and in a variety of legal capacities, she oversees WIPO’s ethics framework, provides confidential guidance to members of WIPO personnel navigating ethical dilemmas, and ensures that the Organization’s values and standards of conduct are upheld, including in the face of emerging challenges such as the responsible use of artificial intelligence.
