WIPO Offers Innovative Technical Assistance

The Committee on Development and Intellectual Property (CDIP) has decided to, again, provide technical assistance and capacity-building to support Member States. WIPO is thus, organizing a webinar entitled “Innovative Technical Assistance: Emerging Technologies and Approaches for Evolving Development Needs,” which will take place on Thursday, May 28.

WIPO is continuing its webinar series in 2026 by building on the strong success of the 2025 WIPO Technical Assistance Webinar Series, which attracted more than 600 participants from over 140 countries.

The webinar will explore how new approaches and emerging technologies are creating opportunities to enhance the delivery and impact of technical assistance and capacity-building programs. The speakers will examine how frontier technologies, such as AI, can be integrated into existing technical assistance frameworks to build adaptive capacity and respond effectively to changing circumstances and emerging development needs.

The webinar is free of charge and open to all! It will be held in English, with interpretation in French and Spanish.
