WIPO INSPIRE – A new patent information tool

WIPO INSPIRE – A new patent information tool

Submitted by Efua Halm on

The newly launched WIPO INSPIRE is a unique reference source tool for patent databases providing a one-stop shop for information on commercial patent databases. The tool provides access to all the reports and information in the databases and further allows its users to compare up to four patent databases at a time. This affords the user the unique opportunity to compare the various database features and make decisions on which database/s suits their specific needs the most.

The INSPIRE platform will bring together information on these databases to innovators, service providers, patent offices and other stakeholders in the innovation ecosystem. The platform provides access to internationally acclaimed patent databases such as, Espacenet and the European Patent Register, both from the European Patent Office and JPlatPat from the Japan Patent Office. Other patent databases included in the collection are Derwent Innovation and Ambercite AI.
