Support of regional TISCs in the process of connecting to the WIPO databases (ARDI and ASPI) and using them: the Head Office of the TISC IP Office, within the framework of the development of the National IP&Innovations Hub, held an online workshop on the ASPI and ARDI databases in cooperation with the World Intellectual Property Organization.

 

🔍 Overview of the Workshop:

The speaker at the event was Ihor Shevchenko, a specialist in patent databases of the IP office, deputy head of the department for the analysis of innovation indicators and patent information of the Department for Economic Issues of Innovative Development.

 

Highlights of the workshop:

 

1️⃣ Details about the databases: A review of the WIPO ASPI and ARDI databases was conducted using a presentation and info-references for general familiarization with their structure and content.

2️⃣ Registration: Participants were sent a link to register on the platforms. The speaker described the registration process in detail, provided examples and advices for filling out the profile correctly.

3️⃣ Answers to questions: The Speaker provided answers to questions regarding the selection of contact person, the possibility of registering TISC employees and the terms of receiving feedback from WIPO.

4️⃣ Changes in the ASPI database: The possibility of changing the WIPO ASPI databases is highlighted.

5️⃣ License agreement: Considered important clauses of the license agreement, in particular, the rules for using databases, access within the institution, the possibility of changing databases, the duration of the agreement and its prolongation.

6️⃣ Additional resources: Information on registration on the WIPO IP portal platform, connection to the eTISC portal and WIPO patent landscape reports is presented. The representative of the TISC IP Office Head Office highlighted the possibilities of the eTISC portal.

 

🔸The online workshop provided the participants with valuable information about connecting and using WIPO databases and contributed to the formation of skills for successful work with these resources. We hope for further success in cooperation with regional TISCs and development of innovations.
