The WIPO Global Awards 2026 has done it again! Startups and SMEs from all across the world, have demonstrated how IP can help transform innovation into business growth, market opportunities and real-world impact. And WIPO has been there to encourage and boost the process.
This year's finalists represent five sectors, namely, Agriculture & Food, Creative Industries, Environment, Health and ICT – alongside a new Sports Special Award introduced to mark the 2026 World IP Day theme, IP and Sports.
These finalists are only one step away from becoming the 2026 WIPO Global Awards winners. This year’s competition reached new milestones with a 70% increase compared to 2025, 32% woman-led companies – with the absolute number doubling year-on-year and 28% youth-led enterprises! Kudos to them all!
