The two-day hybrid workshop was organized by WIPO in cooperation with the Ministry of Science and Innovation of South Africa and the National Intellectual Property Management Office (NIPMO).
The workshop brought together participants from TISCs across the country ranging from technology transfer offices, research institutions and small, medium and micro enterprises. Training was provided on how to utilize WIPO's global patent, design and trademark databases and how to effectively carry out searches on these databases.
Participants, who took part either virtually or physically, engaged in fruitful discussions and networked amongst themselves.
