This Centre, which is sited at the Ministry of Trade & Investment, Abuja, is the 6th TISC in sub-Saharan Africa. The World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) and the Nigerian Federal Government have officially launched it with a goal to facilitate linking industrial skills development and innovation to the areas where there are competitive and comparative advantages. The TISC is to assist companies in an existing area to increase their productivity after enhancing the quality of their products in order to effectively integrate into the world market through innovation (i.e. products internationally relevant though peculiar to our environment) by providing significant information on how such innovations can be achieved. The TISC must be replicated in nine industrial centres across the country, in line with the Ministry\u2019s Industrial Revolution Plan.
