Blessing Mawire is a senior knowledge and development leader with more than 19 years of experience operating at the intersection of knowledge systems, equity, and sustainable development.
With a strong foundation in Information Science, Knowledge Management, and Development Communication, she has led large-scale, multi-country and multi-stakeholder programmes that strengthen national and regional knowledge ecosystems, expand equitable access to research, and enable under-represented communities to leverage information for social, scientific, and policy impact.
Her work includes managing global and regional programmes, including with organisations such as the World Health Organization (WHO), the Pan American Health Organization (PAHO), Research4Life, and national institutions—aligning technical implementation with long-term policy, sustainability, and capacity-building objectives.
Blessing holds a Master’s degree in Development Communication, a postgraduate qualification in Knowledge Management, and an Honours degree in Information Science.
